Terms

Terms of engagement.

What we do

We provide research support: consultations, document reviews, and institutional training. We strengthen your work while keeping authorship, responsibility, and final decisions with you.

What we don't do

We do not write academic work on your behalf, fabricate data or references, guarantee grades, funding, ethics approval, or publication, or submit documents without your review and approval. These are firm limits.

Scope and re-quoting

Before work begins, we review your request and confirm whether it fits the selected service. If the scope is larger, more complex, urgent, or includes multiple documents, we will recommend a higher package or provide a custom quote.

Each service includes one defined output only. Additional review rounds, revised drafts, extra calls, urgent turnaround, or work outside the agreed scope are billed separately. We reserve the right to decline or re-scope requests that are not a good fit for the selected package.

Payment

Individual services are typically paid in full before work begins. Institutional engagements may be invoiced in stages and are subject to a separate agreement that specifies scope, fees, timelines, and deliverables.

Confidentiality

We treat your work as confidential. We will not share your drafts, data, or feedback with anyone outside the engagement without your written permission. We expect the same care in return: please do not share our review memos or templates externally without attribution.

Cancellations and refunds

If you need to cancel before work begins, contact us and we will refund the full fee. Once work has begun, refunds are pro-rated against work completed up to the cancellation date.

Liability

Our liability for any single engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. We are not responsible for outcomes that depend on third parties (e.g. funder decisions, ethics committee decisions, journal decisions).
